PORCINNOVA is the High Technology Incubator for companies in the pig sector, which is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world. It is a one-of-its-kind project in Spain with a national and international outlook.
It is a realistic project which is conceived to generate innovative technological solutions that can be applied to the constantly growing pig industry.
PORCINNOVA is the gateway to the market and a real immersion into the sector, which is capable of anticipating industrial demands and consumer and business trends through new technological developments.
It is promoted by the Centro de Investigación y Tecnología Agroalimentaria de Aragón (CITA; Agrifood Research and Technology Centre of Aragon) and the Fundación de Innovación y Transferencia Agroalimentaria de Aragón (FITA; Foundation for Innovation and Agri-Food Transfer of Aragon), with the support of the Regional Government of Aragón through the Department of Innovation, Research and Universities —to which the two promoting entities are affiliated— and the Department of Rural Development and Sustainability.
PORCINNOVA is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INCYDE Foundation (Instituto Cameral para la Creación y Desarrollo de la Empresa; Chamber Institute for the Creation and Development of Companies) within the Multiregional Operating Programme (OP) for Spain ERDF 2014-20: “Una manera de hacer Europa” (A way of making Europe)
